True WitchR – DvntAi

This game is a spoof of the popular fantasy novels and television show The Witcher.

You take on the role of Lambert, a witcher.

It’s up to you to see what happens after you wake up from your drunken slumber.

Story

So, the developer DvntAi mentions that this game is a parody of Witcher, and that it should be treated as such. I don’t really know what the dev wanted to state here. Does it mean that the whole game will look and sound like a typical parody of the serie, or that he meant that he wants to take no credit for the characters and lore?

Whatever it is, this game is really not what I expected. I didn’t like it at first glance, but I believe it has potential.

The premise of the story is that you are a witcher named Lambert, and you are currently on Geralt’s estate, called Toussaint. You are here because of a request by Kiera Metz, a girl who wants to find a cure to fix her relationship.

It is explained that all witchers become sterile after they mutate. On his estate, Lambert also wants to find a cure for his condition. However, he crashes a lewd party where everyone is drinking and has sexual desires. It is not clearly stated why and how this happens. All you know is that a Dutchess named Anna Henrietta proclaimed a ‘Free Use Decree” to find a way out of the Silent Plague that is making men sterile.

Somewhere on the estate is also a girl named Shani, but we don’t see her in the demo. It is said that she has developed a vaccine of sorts to try and fix the current situation. However, this vaccine has massive side effects. Everyone who gets the vaccine, suddenly develops a series of side effects that increase sexual desires, which may be the reason everyone was so loose at the party.

In the first scene, you wake up, and a girl named Cirilla is in front of you. Your dick is already out, and you can choose what you want to do. The next scene that happens is lewd; she starts sucking you off, but you are interrupted by Geralt, who orders you to go and take a bath. The whole story seems kind of undeveloped, but if they improve the writing, I think it has a potential to become a good story. However, it was hard for me to follow because the dialogue and the overall text are written in a haphazard manner.

You also meet Yennefer, a witch who comes while you are taking a bath. Here, you also have a sexy scene with her, and pretty much all of it is animated.

This is a 3DCG animated game. The characters we see are Geralt, the Witcher himself; Cirilla, a girl who sucks you off at the party; and Yennefer, another witch that interrupts your bath. Initially, I thought the animations were strange and assumed it was because the MC was drunk and they made them that way on purpose, but as I continued playing, I realised that the developers maybe didn’t polish everything, so I believe they have to fix the animations. The characters are okay, the girls are hot, and you get a lot of sex scenes in the demo, but that didn’t really convince me to continue playing the first episode. You can notice some errors in visuals when you play.

Gameplay

In the game, you get a couple of options that take you to different scenes. Some of the options just lead you to scenes that are not lewd, and some allow you to see different renders and animations. As for the animations, they are not of high quality, and I didn’t really like that while playing. Female characters are voiced using really bad AI voices, and I thought they could improve this. There is at least some background music that fits the scenery and the overall setting.

Curley’s comments

Even if you really like The Witcher and fantasy settings, I think that the overall quality of the game could possibly worsen your experience while playing.

I guess the overall story has potential, but the execution of the whole game wasn’t that good. I can’t say I enjoyed playing it, but I hope the developer finds a way to improve, well, basically everything. The dialogues are full of grammatical errors, and sometimes I wasn’t even sure what the characters were meant to say.

I guess it has the potential to become a fun game, but not in this version. I hope that the creator of the game will improve the quality in later versions because the story has an interesting premise, and the Witcher theme is really cool. I hope we will be able to see what happens with Lambert, and his quest to find the cure for the mysterious sickness.
