Story
The Genesis Order, NTL Media’s third chapter in their gaming saga, which started with Lust Epidemic and continued with the immensely popular Treasure of Nadia, offers a fresh take on the adult gaming genre. This latest release builds upon the events of its predecessors, introducing significant character and story enhancements.
In this immersive experience, you assume the role of a young detective partnered with Melissa, a stunning and authoritative female detective who also serves as your supervisor. The narrative begins in medias res, thrusting you into an intriguing investigation of a peculiar incident at a nearby church. Upon arrival, you encounter the enigmatic Priest and Sister Judy, who report hearing eerie sounds emanating from the attic.
To your surprise, you stumble upon a mysterious object resembling a golden globe, which, when activated, elicits fear in Sister Judy and releases a captivating angelic woman. It’s revealed that you’ve encountered an angel named Arianna, sent to Earth to guide you. Arianna not only adds an enticing visual element but also functions as a helpful hint system throughout the game. Whenever you consult the Oracle of the Seraph (the mystical object), Arianna provides guidance on the next steps to advance the storyline.
The core gameplay revolves around completing tasks to unlock more tasks, progressively unfolding the narrative. However, as you delve deeper into your investigation, you begin to uncover unsettling secrets within the Church, particularly during your visit to the Wilkes Mansion. Charles Wilkes, initially believed to have died of a heart attack, was actually the victim of a mysterious murder. His daughter, Lillian, discloses that Charles had married the notorious Madalyn Rose, who manipulated him and may be implicated in a string of kidnappings at a religious institution.
As you dig deeper, you unearth Lillian’s dark secret – she has been leading a cult within the mansion’s confines. Your quest for answers introduces you to a cast of intriguing characters, starting with Wilkes’ maid, Emma. Alongside your investigative efforts, you reconnect with friends and acquaintances, such as Heather, who played a pivotal role in helping you find a house, Chloe (linked to the cult), and Hannah, a young country girl from a nearby farm.
The in-game dialogues truly capture a sense of realism, and I found the game’s humor quite enjoyable. The storyline is genuinely intriguing, complemented by stunning animations and renders that set it apart from other titles within the genre. While the game system and quest completion mechanics bear a resemblance to TON (Treasure of Nadia) in terms of appearance and functionality, it’s the narrative and writing that truly shine, offering an abundance of compelling content. If you like mystery, and lewd scenes, this one’s for you.
Graphic
The artwork in this game is truly exceptional, providing a remarkable blend of animations and renders that showcase an extraordinary level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality visuals. In terms of visual content, this game stands out as one of the most captivating and user-friendly experiences. Every element is presented with remarkable clarity and executed beautifully. I haven’t encountered a single glitch or visual imperfection throughout my playtime.
Furthermore, there are plenty of sex scenes which you can enjoy, but they get a little bit repetitive. If they added more diversity, I believe the game would be even better. At one point, your harem starts to widen but you don’t have many chances to be only with one woman – there’s plenty of orgy scenes and threesomes, which gets boring with time.
Nevertheless, the game has one of the most exquisitely designed female characters in the gaming world, showcasing exceptional character design. Additionally, I appreciated the intricate design of the surroundings and environments, although the free-roam elements appeared to be of slightly lower quality, which, personally, didn’t bother me but it was noticeable. On a less positive note, it’s worth mentioning that the female character models exhibit a notable lack of diversity in body types.
The animated components in this game evoke a cinematic quality that left me genuinely impressed by the exceptional visual standards.
Gameplay
Here is where I’ve encountered a problem – the story is undeniably captivating, shrouded in mystery and surprise as you uncover each clue. However, the gameplay itself left much to be desired. It involves a multitude of repetitive actions, such as incessant clicking and artifact digging. Frankly, there are an abundance of tasks that come across as mundane, seemingly designed merely as gateways to progress the storyline. Take, for instance, the tedious sequence where you’re required to purchase a t-shirt for a workout session with Heather – a task so unengaging that I frequently found myself seeking guidance from the Oracle to decipher my next move.
Moreover, the game offers various unlockable objects and locations, each demanding distinct tools, which became rather wearisome to figure out. There are many mini games and puzzles, but the system remained the same as in TON.
Nonetheless, an intriguing element of the game lies in its interactive phone feature, enabling you to invite other characters for outings, including a “booty call” option. The incorporation of voices at crucial junctures in the narrative adds depth to the experience. The music and sound effects contribute positively to the overall ambiance of the game.
Curley’s comments
The Genesis Order sure has a lot to offer, but it lacks in some parts of the gameplay—too much clicking and digging—while the main story remains captivating and brimming with mystery. The best aspect of this game is the visuals and the voices, as I was able to get more immersed in the story that way.
