Story

This is a gripping VN set in a dystopian future with a cyberpunk style and amazing artwork.

In the year 2042, Los Angeles has become a city controlled by corporations and the elite, embodying both the positive and negative aspects of the American Dream. The majority of its inhabitants live in blissful ignorance of the extreme wealth of the privileged few and the destitution of the poor. Executives wield more influence than politicians, while the police hold less power compared to corporate mercenaries. You happen to be one of these highly skilled mercenaries, known as Ghosts, but you haven’t accepted a job in several months. However, that is about to change.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, a young girl is on the verge of becoming the focal point of a conflict that could potentially divide the entire city. As you embark on a mission to locate her, you will encounter both allies and adversaries—individuals who, like you, have been exploited and discarded by the city. The question arises: who can you trust? Who can you afford to trust?

Each person you encounter has their own aspirations and motivations, all of which bear the scars of their own personal struggles. Yet their paths will intersect and intertwine in this amazing game. While you can also expect lots of lewd content topped with amazing renders and animations, the story is what kept me interested in playing this game.

The overall dark atmosphere is paired with great dialogue and different characters. The interesting thing is that all of them seem mysterious, and you don’t know who you can trust. Although the whole town is after Gloria, the girl who is the possible answer to the strange virus, other characters carry their secrets too. The cunning redhead Victoria seems like she’s hiding something; will you let her come close?

You will encounter a bunch of other characters in this game. Some are willing to do you a favor, but everything comes with a price. Which path will you choose? The branching in this game is great, simple, and doesn’t leave any blank spaces, in my opinion. Overall, the writing is amazing, the characters have their personalities, and there is both lewd content and wholesome, realistic situations.

Graphic

The general feel of this game is dark, but with splashes of neon. Done in cyberpunk style, it offers unique-looking characters and leaves enough space for fetish exploration and futuristic clothing. Some of the characters have weird proportions, but I was able to overlook that. Still, I noticed a lot of similarities in body types—there are a lot of really busty women, while the smaller proportions don’t appear as much.

Still, I really liked the choice of clothing, the variety of faces, and the great attention to lighting. The animations are gorgeous, and the sex scenes are numerous and have options, so you can switch positions and replay scenes.

The gallery is also really nicely done.

Gameplay

The benefit of this game is that you can choose different paths, and your decisions really do matter. High-quality sound effects and an amazing soundtrack help you get immersed into the futuristic world of The City of Broken Dreamers. You can explore many kinks along the way; there are some rough sex scenes, and the sexual content balances perfectly with the amazing story, which is entertaining and intriguing.

The pacing is also just right—nothing is rushed, and the plot constantly thickens with action and plot twists. The action moments are amazing, and the general style of animation and visuals is unique.

The game offers a glossary, information about the characters, and some kind of relationship points that you can check anytime during the game. The interface looks amazing, and it looks like the developers put a lot of work into even the smallest details.

All in all, this game soon found its way into my personal favorites. It has it all: action, intrigue, mystery, wholesome characters, and lewd scenes. The content is lengthy and enables you to explore different fetishes. You can also replay this game more than once because different decisions lead you down different paths.
