Story

Race of Life is like a spicy buffet of life’s experiences, serving up a tantalizing mix of topics from breakups to balancing work and romance. But the real adrenaline rush comes from the underground street racing scene – it’s a world where fun and danger walk hand in hand.

He’s also a father to Lily, his daughter from his previous relationship with his rather nasty ex-wife, Allison. Things got complicated when Jake cheated on Allison with his attractive co-worker, Veronica. And as if that wasn’t enough, there are other women showing interest in him, including his flirtatious students, Alexa and possibly Jasmine. This game is like a dating circus!

The female characters are captivating, each with a distinct appearance and wonderfully crafted personalities. It’s like they all fit together like pieces of a well-designed puzzle. Let’s dive into the character pool:

Veronica is a bit of a mystery, but not your official girlfriend. You’ve been hooking up for six months, and she’s clearly keen on taking things to the next level. She’s got a jealous and possibly possessive streak, though. Overall, she’s a decent character, but seems more mature than Jake, who has other things on his mind. She would like to move in with him, but Jake is reluctant.

Allison is your ex-wife. At first, you’d think you’re meant to despise her, but most of the issues between her and Jake stem from Jake’s actions. In a surprising twist, she actually turns out to be very hurt by Jake’s actions, which justifies her anger – there is a possible path where Jake and her could reconcile. What’s intriguing is that she seems to have both good and bad paths, with the steamier scenes locked behind the bad path. I’m not sure where the bad path will lead, but the good path seems like a gradual build-up, not too slow, though.

Jasmine – She’s a fiery redhead with nipple piercings, which alone sparks some attraction with a hint of that bad-girl vibe. She’s got a free-spirited, unpredictable quality to her, and her dialogue is amusing to read.

Maggie is your sweet blonde neighbor harboring feelings for you but trying to hide it. She gives off that slow-burn character vibe. In terms of character background, she’s right up there with Allison. Her involvement in the main plot is uncertain, but she’s a significant part of a side storyline filled with drama. While it’s not her fault, the drama might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

And let’s not forget Cooper, your goofy best friend. You both embark on thrilling races together, adding another layer of excitement to this already fantastic game. You can even place bets and predict race winners or engage in racing mini-games, which are a blast.

The writing and dialogue in the game are vivid, humorous, and expertly balanced between casual banter, steamy texting, and a touch of family-friendly drama. The language is top-notch, sparing us from a barrage of meaningless words or incomprehensible grammar.

Graphics

The visuals are great. The renders are very detailed, the skin looks very lifelike, the characters are attractive, and don’t even get me started on sex scenes. Those are one of the best and most detailed animations I have ever seen. They look very fluid, smooth and with good, realistic movements.

Gameplay

The plot of the story is excellent—nothing very mysterious, but it’s believable, and the writing style makes you want to get deep into the characters’ stories. So far, you get a solid two or two and a half hours of gameplay. There’s a good soundtrack and sound effects.

The original part of this story is the racing element. The animations are amazing in these parts, and you can actually play racing minigames—not with your keyboard, but this is fun enough. The decisions you get to make are impactful.

I like the gallery and the extra scenes, and the really intriguing part is the side story, which is not connected with the main one. It’s a fun addition to an already great game.

Kudos to the dev, because you can really observe how much effort and time have been put into this game. Even from the very beginning, the intro to the story, the main menu, and the opening animations are great. The dialogue is top-notch, and the characters are very unique.

Race of Life is an immersive game that won’t leave you dry.
